2022. In December, 14,808 megawatt-hours of green gas of domestic origin were produced, of which 2,477 megawatt-hours came from sewage sludge, 4,270 megawatt-hours from animal manure, 590 megawatt-hours from biomass, 4,006 megawatt-hours from biowaste and 3,465 megawatt-hours from food industry residues.

A total of 168,271 MWh of biomethane was produced in Estonia in 2022, which is 10.4 percent more than in 2021.
